Over the past few months it has come to the forefront, the value of family and friends - the relationship we have and the people we share our lives with. Absence has only highlighted the fact that humans are sociable beings and need other humans around.
It's also given us time to reflect on our working relationships too - the ones we forge through a common goal. As architects, we are lucky, as we are always creating something with other people - with engineers, contractors, clients, planners - many of whom we have worked with for years and have become close to.
A few years ago, when we were building Forest Mews, a wonderful photographer took photos of the people involved in creating the space - from the architects, to the bank manager, the carpenters, the plumbers, the electricians - the PEOPLE who made the place. It's a lovely document to have!
Here are just a few of the photos taken by the wonderful James Whitaker (https://www.whitakerstudio.co.uk/about)
